This is official notification that I moderate the comments in my blog. You may disagree with me (and I thoroughly enjoy speaking with people who do disagree with me because I learn so much from them), but your statements must be made in a considerate, thoughtful manner.
- Any attempts to vilify people, faiths, or groups you do not agree with will result in your comment being removed.
- Any foul language (language not found in a G-Rated movie), will result in your comment being removed.
- Any hateful language will result in your comment being removed.
- Any attacking language will result in your comment being removed.
- Any attempts to move my blog readers to their websites or businesses will result in their comments being removed.
This means that if you have something to say, you need to attempt to state your position as carefully as I have worked to state my own. It also means that you need to be considerate of my team and my family.
I will also note that this blog is my personal blog. The Scrap Girls company does not pay the expenses for this blog (hosting or prizes). Occasionally, I talk about digital scrapbooking and related topics and I may even mention something that is happening at Scrap Girls in passing, but that is because my work is a large part of my life. However, this blog is mostly about my personal life. I have enough work on my plate and I have used this blog as a place to talk about other things for a change.
That said, I'm asking you to understand why I choose to maintain this personal space in any manner I wish. This blog is sort of like an extension of my home and I am careful about what I do and do not allow in my home.
This blog is a safe place and as the owner of it, it will continue to be a safe place.
I appreciate your help keeping it a place that you will enjoy coming to and participating in.
All the best to you,
Ro
Update: on August 31, 2009.
Because certain individuals find it necessary to attack or vilify groups or people in their comments regardless of my stated policy, I have had to require that all comments be in a moderation status prior to publication. Again I say, I do not mind if you do not agree with me and I will allow dissenting comments, as long as they do not break the rules:
- No vilification or any group, faith, or person(s).
- No foul-language.
- No attacks.
- No hateful language.
- No attempts to move Scrap Girls customers to competitors.
