It's never too late to pick out your word. It's amazing how freeing it is to have one. By choosing SAVOR as my word of the year, I feel like I've given myself permission to enjoy life more. It feels revolutionary to relax and have a little fun now and again.
Hi Priscilla,
The best way to start out - to get familiar with how it is done - is to use the ScrapSimple paper templates, embellishment templates, styles, shapes, etc. They are tools that many designers use to create their own things because the hard part is already done and you can get the concepts down.
My More Scrapbook Secrets Revealed tutorial series goes into a lot of detail about how you use these things to create your own items with these tools.
Hope that helps!

On one of the newsletters you talk about the bestest reasons be become a digital scrapbooker....enjoyed that! I would like to learn how to create embellishments, papers and such....that fascinates me. Is there a place to learn how to do that? Thanks for your help.

If I must choose a word, it will most likely be "LEARN". I have gone back to college after 38 years. It's not easy, but I am making progress and good grades. I love learning how to use illustrator. Check out my blog for what I've been accomplishing! <3 that program!

My word is CALM and I'm working toward it. My theme song for the year is "Be Still My Soul". I've bookmarked a YouTube video of it to listen to when I feel frazzled.
I started a journal but it's getting crammed with notes I've clipped out rather than my own thoughts. I want to work on that next.
Thanks for the reminder, Ro.

My word is so what I need to do, Ro - it's BREATHE! I'm working on it. Like what you've done with SAVOR. I have my word on my frig but haven't really defined it on paper yet. Thanks for the reminder.
